We had a fantastic introduction to Bath today with our knowledgeable, Somerset born guide, Adge. He led us through the streets of Bath sharing interesting, historical and architectural anecdotes laced with humour. Adge kept all twenty of us fully engaged for 2.5 hours! We even picked up others along the way who were captivated by his interesting stories. He is a man who truly loves his city. All in all a fantastic tour, not to be missed! Thank you Adge!
Adge was very knowledgeable and humorous which added to the enjoyment. He didn't just talk to the group but made an effort to include everyone. Very interesting history. Really glad we did this. Definitely worth the 2 hours (2 hrs 15 mins - we were a large group).
Adge was brilliant. Very friendly, exceptionally funny & very very knowledgeable. The walk was just over 2 hours but we were a large group. Predominantly the walk is flat but there are some inclines going up to The Crescent. Such an interesting & informative walk. Very highly recommended.
We took the train from London to Bath for a short trip out of the city during our 5 day stay. Bath was beautiful with tonnes of shops, restaurants and things to see. Our tour lasted over 2 hours and our guide Adge was AWESOME!! He was funny, personable and knew everything you would want to know about Bath. I would highly recommend this tour during your visit! You get to go on a beautiful walk and find out the history of the town.
Really delighted with this tour, I feel like we struck it very lucky with our tour guide, Adge, who was knowledgeable, funny, enthusiastic and really good at keeping the whole group interested. The two hours passed very quickly and it was a great way to start our trip - it gives an excellent overview of the history, architecture and sights of the city and we were then able to go back to a few places to see them in more detail with an enhanced knowledge. It was a large group, but that didn't have a negative impact on the quality of the tour. It was lovely to be led round the city by a passionate resident - thanks!
Absolutely fantastic quick (2 hours) tour of Bath. Our guide Adge was fantastic.
Thanks Adge for a wonderful morning. We had a small group of around 12 and Adge was such a wonderful guide. Definitely the best way to see Bath. A must do!
We can only endorse the positive reviews of others. Our guide was Adge who provided an informative, humorous and entertaining two hour tour of the main sights in the city interspersed with historical context that brought everything to life. A great introduction to the city. He also took time to speak to everyone in the party individually during the tour which was a nice touch.
I have done many walking tours on my travels and this was the best buy far learning about the history of this beautiful city tour went over time but the group did not mind as we were captivated bye every word which was said. Adge was the best I've ever had keeping us entertained for the whole tour. Thank you Adge for show-casing your beautiful city.
Adge was brilliant! Very informative, told little side stories, he was very funny and chatted to everyone in between stops. The guide certainly makes the tour. Well worth doing!
Adge - absolutely brilliant and a fountain of knowledge. How he memorised 2 hours of information is beyond me, but he did and conveyed a true passion for the city. Mind you, Bath is worth getting passionate about and I would urge anyone new to the place to take advantage of the walk to learn about its fascinating history.
I always try to book a city walking tour on the first day of a break and I can honestly say that this was the best one ever! Adge knew the city well but more importantly, really knew his history and brought the city to life. Fabulous tour, can highly recommend.
This was a great way to start our stay in Bath. We saw the highlights, learned a lot and then knew what we wanted to explore further. Our guide Adge was incredibly knowledgeable, personable and funny. Even though it was raining we enjoyed every step!
Our guide was Adge - what passion he has for his city, and tremendous knowledge. Our tour went 2.5 hours and was fascinating. Again, a must-do if you're staying overnight.
Adge's tour is an excellent way to see the city of Bath - a man who loves his city. It was extremely informative and had a lot of great historical information as well as stories. The tour lasted for about 2 hours, so there is a lot of walking, but not hard walking. This should be the first tour you should take coming to Bath.
Took tour our first morning with Adge. Words can't express what a great tour this was. He brought Bath to life and we were nearly 2.5 hrs but it went by in what felt like minutes.
Adge was so knowledgeable on the history of Bath, he made the tour fun and we learnt so much about this gorgeous place! Adge's tour is not to be missed and I can highly recommend him as a tour leader, he has a good sense of humour and the couple of hours just flew by, the walk is of a good pace and is very manageable. Thanks Adge!!
We had an extremely interesting, entertaining, and insightful tour at Bath with Adge who is an avid reader of history. He was born and raised in Bath and knows the city inside out. He has a remarkable memory for historical fact and his ability to weave together stories incorporating his knowledge was almost uncanny. His humor, wit, and articulation made his tour fun and enjoyable. We appreciate the hospitality of the city of Bath. People there are so nice and welcoming, my husband and I had a wonderful time and can’t wait to visit again with our family in the future. We give this walking tour a two thumb up rating! Good job, Adge!!!
My tour guide was Adge Secker, a former policemen who is very knowledgeable in everything regarding Bath and the 19th century novelist. His enthusiasm was contagious and I had a great time walking with him in the footsteps of Jane Austen. We went along the grand Great Pultney Street to 4 Sidney Place, one of the former residences of Jane Austen, enjoyed Sidney Gardens as she once did, strolled through the town center of Bath where Adge showed me, among other things, The Assembly Rooms (where Jane went for dancing and where also a scene from „Northhanger Abbey“ is set), The Circus, The Royal Cresent and The Pump Room. Apart from Jane Austen, Adge also told me a lot about the ancient origins of Bath, its architecture and of course the famous Roman Baths. Our tour lasted about three hours and as mentioned before, I never got tired of Bath
